An evening with D‘Arienzo
A whole year since his last talk, Michael Lavocah presents the life and music of Juan D’Arienzo, The King of the Beat, who literally propelled an entire city to its feet, inaugurating the tango dance revolution. The talk will be followed by dancing to D’Arienzo’s irresistible beats.
Michael is internationally famous for his ability to help people listen to and appreciate tango music. This is a rare opportunity to hear him in Norwich.

An evening with Osvaldo Pugliese
Michael Lavocah presents the life and music of “the maestro” Osvaldo Pugliese, who created the most passionate and intense music tango has ever known. Forming his orchestra in 1939 from a cell in Argentina’s most notorious political prison, he stood firm against decades of persecution for his communist beliefs, eventually leading his musicians and his devoted fans alike to a triumphant night at one of the world’s grandest opera house.

Michael’s talks are always exciting and captivating, illustrated with rare photographs and plenty of music.
