Práctica (literally “practice”) is not a formally taught session, but an opportunity for the tango community to come together and help one another as they practice. You can improve on what you have learned at lessons, share your successes and difficulties with others, help others, all with the aim of building more confidence in the whole Norfolk dancing community. You can just work with your partner or you can dance with others, as in the milonga evenings or tea dances. In contrast to the formal dance events, talking and explaining on the dancefloor is encouraged. There is an expectation to share, to give and to get positive ideas.

The School Room at the Diamond Centre, with its three good spaces under the one roof, is ideal for this type of evening. Kate and Tony have always run a Guided Práctica pre-Pandemic, but unfortunately are currently unavailable on Fridays.  A rota of experienced dancers able to attend is being developed in order to optimise experience on a week-to-week basis. We hope it will give students attending classes the opportunity to meet up with the many excellent dancers who have tango in their blood and also have plenty to share with them.

This is hugely important for consolidating technique and for making tango friends. The more regularly you can attend, the better!

Covid policy applies.
